Feeling Nostalgic: The Family Computer Bug

After all the hype, I caught the Family Computer bug on Facebook. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, saying no to a Family Computer seems like a cruel thing to do to me. So, I decided to buy one if I find the cheapest one online. And what do you expect? I found one at Lazada.

This is not the original Nintendo Family Computer but it has the same features. It also comes with two cartridges that contain the iconic Family Computer games such as Super Mario, Battle City, Contra, and more.

I bought mine around 800 pesos plus (about $16 USD), but that was on sale last year. The same unit is still available at Lazada with a different price. It is on sale for 1,444 pesos ($29 USD).

If you want to buy one for yourself, check it out at Lazada by clicking HERE. (AFFLINK)

  1. Oh my god! An 800 pesos family computer! I think I wanna have one. This makes me very nostalgic. I used to play with this when I was a kid. My father was an avid gamer, we have all kinds of games there is, his favorite was Contra. He was obsessed with it, didn't stop until he finished the entire game. And I was his avid audience, something about the rolling, the jumping, and the shooting of the main players fascinate me haha...

  2. I have never seen this one before. Those games though remind me of my childhood! I loved playing super Mario back then. However at the first it was annoying that you couldn't save your progress. Haha!

  3. I never got to play the original NES/FAMICOM(Family Computer) back in the day, because we were on the other side of the fence(which is Sega's Genesis) but my parents were able to. But after trying out Nintendo's gaming consoles like the ds, 3ds and wii, I always have that magical feeling in me that only Nintendo can provide and their game selection is always unique and is good for all ages. I don't think I'll buy one Famicom right now though, since I'm very busy with our blog and work but I do want one.
